As part of the CityArchRiver2015 project celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Gateway Arch, road construction is currently taking place around the major arteries of the Arch grounds and the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. We will continually update the closure and detour information to ensure our guests are able to visit throughout the construction period.
Please plan to allow extra time to get through construction areas. See detour directions below for the most up-to-date street closure and construction information.
Though there is no dedicated Arch Parking, click here for a list of Preferred Parking locations throughout downtown St. Louis. NOTE: the ONLY accessible pedestrian route to the Gateway Arch grounds from downtown is via Walnut Street. Access is also available from the riverfront via the Grand Staircase.

Arriving By Public Transportation:
If you prefer public transportation, the trip to the Gateway Arch is quick and easy. Take the MetroLink to the 8th & Pine Station! From there, it’s a short 10-15 minute walk east to the park pedestrian entry point on Walnut Street (@ Memorial Drive).
