ALERT: The Tram Ride to the Top of the Arch is TEMPORARILY CLOSED for system improvements until late-April 2017. During the closure, no ticket is required for entry into the Arch facility which includes The Arch Store and the award-winning documentary, "Monument to the Dream". Please Note: The Museum of Westward Expansion, located under the Gateway Arch is closed for significant renovations. Certain artifacts from the Museum are on display in exhibit galleries at the Old Courthouse.

Reenactment of Virginia Minor Trial

Virginia Minor attempted to register to vote in 1872 but was turned down. She and her husband filed suit, and eventually, their case was heard by the U.S. Supreme Court. Saturdays and Sunday's in March, visitors are invited to participate in a scripted reading of the 1872 case Minor v Happersett, taking on roles as the judge, members of the jury, plaintiff, defendant and attorneys of the Virginia Minor case. Participants will determine whether women have the right to vote. Program lasts about 45 minutes.
