Your Lou-Lovin’ Gift Guide

December 9, 2016

Holiday-Shopping.pngHearing the words “holiday shopping” might make you run for the hills, especially as you think about fighting the crowds at the mall or finding a gift for Aunt Mindy. Don’t stress out, we’re here to help! This gift guide that is perfect for those who love the Lou.

For the Sports Fanatic
This idea is sure to appease the diehard STL sports fanatics: There’s no better way to support our hometown teams than with tickets to a 2017 St. Louis Cardinals or St. Louis Blues game! And if you're looking to create an extra-special memory for your Blues-loving family or friends, tickets to the Winter Classic are still available, too!

For the Arch and Riverboat Enthusiast
Not sure if your sister would enjoy a Journey to the Top tram ride over a Gateway Arch Riverboat Sightseeing Cruise? Then let them decide themselves with a Gateway Arch Experience Gift Certificate, which can be used for tickets to the Arch and Riverboats, or for purchases from the Gateway Arch Riverboats Gift Shop. (Note: Gift certificates are not valid for purchases at The Arch Store or the Old Courthouse Gift Shop.)

Also: Jefferson National Expansion Memorial’s non-profit partner, Jefferson National Parks Association, has an online store with a plethora of gift ideas for those who love the Arch and Old Courthouse. Your purchase will help provide educational programming, exhibits and site improvements to JNPA's partner sites.

For the Animal Lover
It’s the gift that keeps on giving – really! Give the gift of membership to the Saint Louis Zoo’s Zoo Friends Association, in which the recipient will receive 36 Anywhere passes, free parking for six visits, a Zoo calendar and a subscription to stlzoo member magazine, discounts on food and Zoo gift shop purchases and much more. If you purchase a gift membership this holiday season, you can receive a 2016 collectible ornament, too!

For the Chocolate Obsessed
If chocolate is the key to anyone’s heart, then this handcrafted collection by St. Louis family-favorite Bissinger’s is sure to be enjoyed (then devoured!) by any and all lovers of chocolate. The assortment includes signature pieces such as Bear Claws Royale and pieces from the company’s Classic Crème Collection.

For the St. Louie Foodie
Now here’s something for those who love to eat local: a Saint Louis Originals gift card. The Saint Louis Originals is a collaborative of independently owned and operated restaurants and culinary innovators in the Lou. Members include Eleven Eleven Mississippi, Bailey’s Chocolate Bar, Three Kings Public House and Schlafly Bottleworks. The STL food scene is strong, so this is bound to be a delicious gift.
